2027 UPS Daily Rates Information

Package

Effective December 21, 2026:

• The list of ZIP codes to which Area Surcharges apply will change. The current list of Area Surcharge ZIP codes can be found here: Delivery and Remote Area Surcharge Listing

• The list of ZIP codes aligned to certain Zones will change. These can be found here: UPS Daily Rates and Zone Charts | UPS - United States

• The minimum billable weight for Additional Handling packages will increase from 40 lbs. to 50 lbs.

• The Daily Rates for UPS^® Ground, UPS Air and International services will increase an average net 5.9%.^* This helps to support ongoing expansion and capability enhancements as we strive to maintain the high service levels you expect from UPS. More detailed rate previews will be available at a later date.

2027 UPS Small Business Rates Information

Effective December 21, 2026, the published Small Business Rates for UPS® Ground, UPS Air and International services will increase. To view the rates, visit the UPS Small Business Rates webpage provided in your UPS agreement.

Surge Fee Update

Effective on or after December 21, 2026, domestic Ground and Ground Saver shipments from certain ZIP codes for Qualified customers will be subject to an additional surcharge per package. Details on these fees, including the applicable origin zip codes, will be available in early November at the following link:

Air Shipping Documents (ASDs)

Effective January 4, 2027, ASDs are discontinued. Shipments tendered using an ASD will be subject to a surcharge of $5.00 per package. Additionally, UPS reserves the right to refuse the acceptance of such shipments or to return them at the shipper’s expense. ASD supplies are no longer available to order.

UPS 3 Day Select® and UPS Ground Shipping Documents

Effective January 4, 2027, UPS 3 Day Select and UPS Ground Shipping Documents (GSDs) are discontinued. UPS 3 Day Select and UPS Ground Shipments tendered using a GSD will be subject to a surcharge of $10.00 per package. Additionally, UPS reserves the right to refuse the acceptance of such shipments or to return them at the shipper’s expense. GSD supplies are no longer available to order.

UPS Protected Delivery

Effective November 16, 2026, UPS will begin to offer UPS Protected Delivery. UPS will ask for a secure PIN to complete the delivery. The shipment will only be released once the PIN is confirmed at delivery. The rate for this service will be $10.70 per shipment with UPS Protected Delivery.

Domestic Fuel Surcharge

Effective November 2, 2026, the U.S. Ground Domestic and the UPS Ground Saver® Fuel Surcharge and the U.S. Domestic Air Fuel Surcharge will change. Details on these changes can be found using the link below:

Ground Saver: Non-Compliant Label Fee

Effective on or after August 2, 2026, a $5.00 per package Non-Compliant Label Fee will apply to each UPS Ground Saver package if the Customer fails to:

• Comply with the labeling requirements set forth in the UPS Guide to Labeling Supplement – UPS Ground Saver; or
• Use the latest version of an approved shipping system that meets UPS’s requirements at the time of shipment for processing UPS Ground Saver packages.
